Chinese steel structure association and powder metallurgy association declared the status report of metal injection molding industry in domestic China 2015 and explained the latest development status of metal injection molding industry in domestic China.As the report showed,there were 15 enterprises whose sales volume has exceeded USD6,000,000 and the others were the small manufacturers.
The report showed that there were more than 130 metal injection molding metal parts manufacturers in domestic China currently,35 enterprises on Pearl river delta and 35 enterprises on Yangtze River Delta and 20 enterprises in Beijing,Tianjin,Hebei and Shandong province,and the others were located in Hunan and other regions.
For the applications,as we know mobile phone parts have become the largest market of metal injection molding and the second largest market including the computer parts, wearable device parts,auto parts,medical instruments parts and electric tools and so on.
The sales quantity of metal injection molding material (including metal powder and feedstock) has achieved 6000-7000 tons in 2005 and about 3000-3500 tons were imported from other countries.As we predicted,there would be 8 metal injection molding manufacturers in domestic China whose annual capacity would exceed 100 tons and there would be 9 metal injection molding feedstock manufacturers whose production capacity would achieve 800-1000 tons.
The most extensive processing metal injection molding material are low alloy steel and stainless steel,they covered about 85% production capacity.316L and 17-4PH material have become the main material.
So we could predicte that the material of metal injection molding technology would become multiple,inculding no nickle stainless steel,non magnetic alloy,aluminum alloy and so on.
